Israeli Police Warn Backgammon Site

Online backgammon is a criminal activity in Israel if the recent approach by police in that nation is any indication. The Israel Police fired a warning off to the operator of online backgammon site Play65, Interlogic, to desist operations immediately. The site offers games that are played using real money, and a decision by the State Prosecutor's Office that such gambling is illegal prompted the warning for Interlogic to halt "organized gambling activity in Israel". Police have told Interlogic executives of the decision by the State Prosecutor so that they would understand the seriousness of the charge.
