Teens Gamble with Backgammon
24th of January 2007
With the influx of poker into the common world, it is no wonder that more and more minors are picking up cards, laying down cash, and trying their luck - but is the same true with Backgammon? There is an osmotic effect when something hits the zeitgeist as hard as poker has, with an overflow into other games. People who catch the gambling bug will either pick up a new game when poker is not available, or just go looking for something new. As to whether or not gambling on backgammon is a bad thing, it is fairly relative to the amount of the wager and the personal beliefs of the person playing, but teens playing backgammon for money are still gambling, and it could be illegal based on local law.
