Will Backgammon Catch Poker?

When online poker and such live poker events like the World Poker Tour exploded onto the global scene a few years ago, it caught the attention and imagination of many people, including regular backgammon pros. It is well known that pros like Gus Hansen left backgammon as a regular thing because the fields were small compared to the new opportunities in poker. Now that backgammon sites are beginning to catch on and more and more are opening up all the time, it is possible the game may lure back greats such as Hansen, or even reverse the trend and pull poker players over to the differing challenges of backgammon.
